PitchPal® Umbrella Tent

Is it an umbrella? Is it a tent? No, it’s PitchPal the Umbrella Tent – half umbrella, half tent! The zip-on, windowed wind shelter zips around the edge of the entire umbrella canopy offering 100% protection from the wind, rain and sun. What’s more, it’s completely detachable, which means you can also use this product as a giant “square” shaped garden, beach or fishing umbrella without the side walls. The upper pole has a flexi-spring section so you can tilt the canopy at an angle if you prefer.

To fit the optional all-round wind shelter, simply attach and zip it around the edge of the canopy. Adjust the height of the centre pole with the clamp and then peg down the lower edge of the wind shelter to the ground with the pegs (stakes) provided.

Alternatively you can attach the short sections of guy line provided and peg these down such that the lower edge of the wind shelter is slightly raised from the ground to allow a through breeze on those hotter days.

The front panel of the wind shelter has a large transparent PVC window. With vertical access zips either side the entire front panel may be unzipped and optionally rolled up and tied back with tie wraps.

PitchPal® Specifications

PitchPal umbrella tent is made from a quality PU (polyurethane) coated 210D Oxford Polyester fabric with a 1500 mm hydrostatic head. Maintain by spraying it from time to time with a proprietary tent spray such as Nikwax and it should last for many years to come. With a quality coated 8 ribbed steel frame the canopy is actually octagonal. But with 4 short and 4 long sides, it has more of a “square” appearance.
