The distinctive canopy shape of the Pagoda Garden Parasol is reminiscent of certain classic architectural structures in Istanbul, India and other Eastern resorts. Some point to the domes of the Brighton pavilion, others to the Taj Mahal in Agra.

It’s suitable for use at home in the garden, on your patio, on your veranda or as a sunshade on the beach. But these sophisticated pagoda garden parasols are of such good quality that they also have commercial applications at hotels, cafeterias, pubs, restaurants, etc. What’s more they’re also ideal for weddings, garden festivals, summer fetes and all sorts of other prestigious outdoor events.

Details & Specification

The Pagoda Garden Parasol is a good size with a rib length of 120 cm and diameter of 240 cm. The span of the canopy measured across the bottom is 220 cm. There are 16 strong, flexible, white coated steel wire ribs, each 4 mm thick. That’s twice as many as conventional 8 ribbed umbrellas, which in theory makes it twice as strong in the wind. The canopy has a valance around the lower edge and is of a durable polyester fabric. You can replace the canopy or remove for washing / cleaning. It’s secured twice to each rib with “velcro”-style fixings.

The white painted steel shaft of the pagoda garden parasol is in two sections. The upper section attached to the canopy is about 150 cm long and slides inside the wider 32 mm diameter lower pole. The lower pole section is about 105 cm long. It has a screw wheel clamp attachment to enable height adjustment. And it also has a pointed plastic insert at the other end so that you can push it into the sand or soft ground.

Ideally though, you’ll want to support the sizeable canopy of your pagoda garden parasol with a fairly heavy parasol base. At least 15 kg, possibly heavier depending on how exposed to the wind your location is. Note: although photographed with a base, we do not supply it with a base.
