Description
Worm Factory Standard Plus Wormery in Terracotta
The Worm Factory’s® stackable, multi-tray wormery design makes it the most efficient worm bin composter around. Worms begin eating waste in the lowest tray, and then migrate upward in search of food.
With so much food thrown away each year this worm composter is a great way to convert that waste quickly and easily into excellent compost fro your garden, vegetable plot or houseplants.
How It Works:
Simply add a handful of worms and your organic waste to the bottom “working” tray. The worms will start processing the food. Once the bottom tray is filled, add another tray. The worms migrate upward to the newest food source leaving the bottom tray full of nutrient rich compost.
Features:
• Year-round production
• Odour Free operation
• Expandable up to 7 trays
• Easy to assemble and manage
• Built in collection tray and tap for easy draining
• Includes a 16-page easy-to-use instructional booklet with photos and illustrations
• Comes with “Quick-Tips” lid for easy reference
• Houses five to seven thousand worms that consume 4-5 lbs of food per week
• 10 year warranty on parts and workmanship
• Made in the U.S.A by Natures Footprint.
Specifications:
• 3.5″ higher for each tray added
• The trays, base, and lid are made from high-quality post-consumer recycled plastic
• Operational in temperatures between 45 and 85 degrees F
Supplied with Coir Brick and shredded bedding to get you started.
Apart from fitting the tap (or spigot – it is an American product) and a couple of nuts and bolts to fix the holding tray to the base, Everything just drops into place.
Your Worm Factory Wormery comes with three trays as standard and you add a further four to increase production.
Need some worms?
If you’re not lucky enough to have a ready supply of hungry worms to hand, don’t worry they’re very easy to find. Simply type “worms for composting” into your search engine. I just did and nearly half a million results came up using Google. There are plenty of worm suppliers around.
